I am Stephanie Dreyer, award-winning author, freelance writer, blogger, and mom.

I am on a mission to help families eat healthier. I get excited about food! Feeding friends and family is my favorite thing to do, but I love cooking with my kids best!! I want to inspire the world to get in their kitchens more and in the fast food lane less. If I could wave my magic wand, I would make sure every child in the world had access to an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables daily and enjoyed eating them! And I would save all the animals (P.S. I am vegan)!

I live a joyful, vibrant life, fueled by a whole foods, plant based diet. I created this website to help you cook and eat deliciously with pleasure and ease, (because feeding your family should be joyful, not stressful.) When I went vegan overnight in 2010, I did it on my own without the support of family and friends. I struggled to learn new recipes, decipher new products (what is tempeh and seitan?!!), and find a community. I clumsily tried to figure out how to be vegan while continuing to feed an omnivorous family.   After months of research, countless new recipes, and lots of emotional struggle, I found my groove. I wanted to show others how delicious and easy eating a plant-based diet can be, so I wrote VeegMama’s Guide To Going Vegan, my first eBook that provides a practical, easy-to-follow guide for anyone considering a plant-based lifestyle.  It became an Amazon best-seller on the first day of its release.  I wrote my first childrens book, NOT A NUGGET, to introduce families to the idea of veganism.

As a busy, working mom, I understand the daily challenge to plan and prepare delicious, homemade, healthy meals for my family.

I also know how stressful it is to manage each of your kids’ diverse food preferences and dietary restrictions. Did I mention my oldest is vegetarian, my youngest is an omnivore, and my second child vacillates between the two depending on the day? I get the struggle! I share my experiences (and recipes!) on my blog and YouTube channel to help you with your challenges. My goal is to get families in the kitchen and at the table with good food more often. My newsletter subscribers receive updates on my blog series, free downloads, and more each month. You can too.

I am committed to delivering meal planning and recipe solutions that take the chore out of cooking. I don’t think I will ever have it all figured out, but I hope the successes and failures I share can be of service to you and your families.

I would love to hear from you! Share your cooking struggles, recipe challenges, meal planning questions, or anything else at hello@stephaniedreyer.com.
